Leslie Johnson

Leslie Johnson is a Certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher (CSYT). She holds the honor of Senior Teacher with 750 hours of training through Master Yoga. She has 17 years of experience with yoga. She first found and became a student of Svaroopa® Yoga in 1998, and has been teaching since 2002. She received training from Rama Berch, the founding president of Yoga Alliance, master teacher and originator of Svaroopa Yoga, and founder of Master Yoga Foundation.

“There are many different styles of Hatha Yoga (the practice of asana). I chose to teach Svaroopa® Yoga because it gave me the most profound change. Svaroopa® Yoga is practiced for the purpose of healing, transformation, and transcendent experience. By delving into and through your own body you can come to know your own True Self.”

Leslie transitioned out of the photo business and has been teaching yoga full time for the last 2 years.

Nathan Matanich

Nathan began practicing Svaroopa® Yoga in 2004. “I was invited to attend a class having no idea what it would be like. After that class I knew something felt different, but I wasn’t sure what it was. I was intrigued enough to keep attending. The more I practiced, the more I noticed change in my life, not just physically but mentally and emotionally. I started to have the experience of living life from a place of being open and present in all activities and was inspired to start teaching. I’ve been teaching since April of 2007 and am in the process of becoming a certified Svaroopa® Yoga Teacher.”

Outside of teaching Nathan works as a design engineer in a foam fabrication plant.

Susan Warden

“I am Certified to teach Svaroopa® style Yoga and also am an Embodyment® Yoga Therapist. I started taking yoga classes after my son was born, 27 years ago. Whenever we moved I always sought out the local Hatha Yoga teacher and was always searching for the yoga style that would touch me deeply. It wasn’t until we moved to Minnesota that I finally found my heart’s desire for the kind of yoga I was looking for, a yoga style that would take me deep into the core of my being: Svaroopa® Yoga. I started taking classes in 2003 and loved it so much that I became a teacher and have been teaching since 2004.”

Susan teaches classes in her home studio and at the Robbinsdale Community Education Center. She will also be teaching at the beautiful new Highland Yoga Studio. She has been an Elementary School Teacher and is a Professional Storyteller.

"I believe that I am always in the process of realizing the truth of myself. That’s why I love this yoga; it helps me do that.”
